Blogging by Mail continues to be awesomely provided by Dispensing Happiness. This round, my sender was Becke at Columbus Foodie, who provided ample amounts of chocolately wonder, which makes her one of my new best friends because this is all I require of my best friends - chocolate providing.
I came home one morning last week and discovered a giant box sitting on my front porch, covered with a light dusting of snow. I hauled it into the house and was very excited but had eleven other things to do before I could open the box, unfortunately. But my sister then brought me the box in the midst of my other things and said, "Hey, this box!" and I had to open it, as I could not avoid temptation twice.
Recipe
From right to left, a bento box! Which I've wanted for oh-so-long and now I can put little foodstuffs in there.
Then, ruby red popcorn, which I have yet to pop but I happened to acquire a popping mechanism in the summer, so that stuff will be popped as soon as possible.
In the blue tub, an amount of "really good" balsamic vinegar. Mmm, now, I have to figure out what to do to use that vinegar. I look forward to this balsamic experience.
A jar of Penzey's Mural of Flavor spice is on top of the vinegar, then Caramel Apple Butter and Strawberry Balsamic Jam from Becke's local farmer's market and Vanilla Sugar! I'm going to find some recipe in which I can include all of these things and it will be amazing, with vanilla sugar sprinkled on top.
And, finally, the Pure Imagination Chocolatier chocolates.
We've been slowly eating these chocolates over the course of the last few days and I have to say - they're fricking good. And pretty, too.
Thank you, Becke! And Dispensing Happiness!
